A little over three months after the UK voted to leave the EU, Ditchley hosted a conference exploring "The EU divorce and after: rebuilding Britain's relationships". Participants were encouraged to focus on the future and ideas and recommendations which could lead to a "smart Brexit", meaning productive relations with Europe and other partners and a positive new place for the UK and the remaining states of the EU in the world.
