Glada Lahn
Senior Geopolitics, Energy and Climate Lead
Glada has worked in the think tank and consultancy sector for the last 23 years. During her time as a Senior Research Fellow with the Environment and Society Centre at Chatham House, she led and collaborated on a range of international resource-related projects and high-level dialogue facilitation. Areas of focus have included energy policy in the Arab Gulf, climate risks the MENA region and Europe, oil and gas exporting countries in transition, global water governance and the geopolitics-energy-climate nexus. As a freelance consultant, Glada has worked for the International Energy Agency (IEA), SOAS, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research amongst others. She has particularly enjoyed mentoring Chatham House QEII Academy fellows and conducting external student and diplomatic seminars and trainings on energy, environment, conflict and climate-related topics.
Glada holds a BA Arabic with International Relations and a Masters in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, both from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). In her spare time, Glada enjoys community gardening and cooking.
