Location Hire

Our 18th century Palladian Mansion house and pleasure grounds are available for film, television and specialist photography.

With 300 acres of parkland and pleasure grounds, Ditchley Park is a secluded and unique historic venue.

The Mansion House is a fine and remarkably complete early Georgian Palladian masterpiece, one of the most important surviving 18th century country houses designed by James Gibbs. Much of the interior is by William Kent, with exquisite mouldings by the Italian stuccatori Vassalli, Serena, and the Artari brothers.

A boating lake provides the backdrop to the Northern aspect of the Mansion House and, looking west, a Grade II* listed Rotunda temple, one of two follies located within the Ditchley Estate, provides an interesting parkland location with proximity to the lake.

Mansion House

The 18th century architecture and the abundance of original fittings makes Ditchley suitable for interior and exterior scenes for country houses, palaces, London clubs and Oxbridge colleges.

The elegant decor and furnishings, in particular the historic library where Churchill worked late into the night during World War II, also provide an attractive and private venue for documentary and current affairs interviewing.

On the ground floor, an exquisite hallway leads to a series of staterooms and reception rooms, including the Velvet room, Library and Saloon, with private views of the formal gardens, lake and private parkland views.

The first and second floors include a number of grand state bedrooms with spectacular parkland vistas and some with original Elizabethan paneling.
