Ditchley's Internship Alumni Day 2026

The Ditchley Foundation hosted its annual Internship Alumni Day at Ditchley Park on 30th May. The event convenes a selection from Ditchley’s alumni network – now comprising individuals from over six years of internship programmes – for a day of networking, thought-provoking discussions, and presentations from former interns on their professional development.

The centrepiece of the day was a series of "Future Forum" sessions, in which participants engaged in roundtable discussions with a selection of expert speakers from the wider Ditchley network. This year, the Foundation was pleased to welcome representatives from organisations such as the British International Studies Association (BISA), UKAI, Future Planet Capital, and the UK National Committee on China. These sessions enable Ditchley’s network of emerging professionals to hear directly from senior leaders across a range of fields, bridging the gap between high-level strategic thinking and next-generation action.

The day concluded with a live Q&A that featured past interns discussing the impressive developments in their careers with individuals now working at institutions such as the Cabinet Office, Deutsche Bank, and The Risk Advisory Group.

True to the spirit of Ditchley, we were pleased to see connections being made between older and younger alumni, as well as with distinguished guest speakers. Ultimately, the day highlighted the success of the alumni network as a vehicle for long-term relationships, and underscores our commitment to facilitating frank, insightful discussions for the long term.
