Rethinking the role of education and skills in the renewal of democracies

This Summit marked over five years of partnership between Ditchley and Lumina Foundation, working together to build transatlantic networks of leaders in the fields of education and democracy. In that time, we have held dozens of working sessions and four previous summits, building strategic thinking on issues such as democratic resilience, citizen agency, and the infrastructure of opportunity for citizens in democracies. In this fifth summit, Ditchley and Lumina brought together a select group of senior networks to critically assess the relationship between the education and skills agenda and democratic renewal, with the aim of developing a refreshed and revised view of how to effectively promote healthy democracies through education.
